Arts, history, and music have always been a vital part of the City dating back to the early settlers of the mid 1700’s. Today, our Hub City community showcases national and regional talents and hosts an impressive exhibition of performing arts year round. And every year, the annual Spartanburg International Festival presents internationally acclaimed performing arts, vendors, and exhibits from around the world to Barnet Park.

Recently opened in 2007, the widely acclaimed Chapman Cultural Center and Spartanburg Art Museum acts as an anchor for entertainment and education, offering a wide range of visual & performing arts, science, and historical perspective. Spartanburg has an impressive collection of studios, theatres, and auditoriums, all of which feature some of the most talented artists and performers across the country. Walk through our charming downtown and you’ll feel a city come alive with an abundance of art galleries & exhibits, poetry readings, wine tastings, and a lively music scene, including weekly Jazz on the Square, music camps, and a number of different concert venues.
